多くの患者さんを診てきて思うのだが
　農業や漁業といった、自然を相手に働いてこられた方のほうが、自分の病（と間もなく訪れる死）というものを、素直に受け入れて逝かれるような気がする、と。
　そういった方々は、この世界には人の力ではどうにもならないものが存在するという事を日ごろから肌身に染みて知っておられるため、無用な取り乱しや現実逃避をする割合が少ない。
　むしろ困るのは、政治家とか、ある種のセンセイと呼ばれる方たちで
　日ごろから怒鳴ったり下手に出たり、交渉ごとでなんとかなるという感覚が身についているせいか、病に対しても同じ態度でなんとかしようとしてしまう。
　怒ろうと言いくるめようと、病も死期もなんともならないのに、と。
